Week 2 , Ecology Week 2017:

Ecology Week is for campers age 7 – 13.
Program Leader: V. Rev. Fr. Terence Baz, D. Min
A native Australian, Fr. Terence Baz studied theology in Sydney and then completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in conjunction with the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese St. Stephen’s Course of Studies. His dissertation was: An Orthodox Christian Ecology & Theology of Creation. He has continued to research the relation between theology & ecology. He has been a member of the Eco Justice Working Group of the National Council of Churches, the New York State Interfaith Power & Light, the Forum on Religion & Ecology, and the Fellowship of the Transfiguration, an inter-Orthodox body concerned about the environment. Father Terry, as he is known, is Rector of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church (OCA) in Clifton, NJ. He is an amateur astronomer, belonging to the North Jersey Astronomical Group & owns two telescopes (an 8″ f/10 & a 16″ f/5) that he will bring to the camp for the week.
The tuition for Ecology Week is $300. Registration for after April 1 is $50. As with all weeks, scholarships are available through an application process. The scholarship application form, in addition to a completed camp application and registration fee, must be completed in order to be considered for a scholarship.
