A Message from Our Ecology Week Volunteers!

Dear Campers,

For those of you who joined us for Ecology week at St. Andrew’s Camp last year, you may remember Mr. and Mrs. Gary Paxton. This year, the Paxton’s have a lot of great things planned for all of you, once again! Please read a message from them, and get ready to have a fun Ecology week!

Glory be to Jesus Christ!

Hello from the Paxtons!

We are so excited to be returning for our 2nd year of teaching Ecology at St. Andrew’s Camp. We just found out there are 30 campers registered for Ecology Week! WOW! Last year we had about 15 campers and we had a wonderful time making crafts, exploring the woods and fields, seining in the lake, swimming (one day), visiting the Jordanville Monastery, Green Lakes State Park and sharing in services with everyone at the camp!

This year we have been planning to take another trip to Green Lakes State Park to go swimming at the beach, explore the miles of trails and hopefully take some row boats out to learn about the unique ecology and geology of this state park. We are also planning to do something very exicting! We are making arrangements to take a pontoon boat out onto Lake Onieda to see the environment from another perspective. We will learn about the local ecology, water quality and things we can do to protect the beauty that God has bestowed upon us as stewards of his creation!

We are looking forward to meeting all of you! See you in a few weeks!

Yours in Christ,

Gary & Tara Paxton
