Saint Andrew’s Camp Family and Friends: Please join the Orthodox Charitable and Educational Foundation (OCEF) on Saturday, September 18, 2010 for the Fall meeting to recap the Summer 2010 season and plan for 2011.  An open session for anyone interested in the camp development and plans will be held at 1 PM, with lunch served at 12:15 PM. Saint Andrew’s Camp “Camp-made” Jam for Sale!

Our camp’s veteran camper and volunteer gourmet cook, Natasha, lead the campers, volunteers, and staff in some fabulous jam making this summer. Saint Andrew’s Camp is pleased to offer 8-ounce jars for sale for $5 each. The sweet and savory jams are made with love and delicious fruits and ingredients.  Some of the berry jams even include some fresh-picked berries from the camp grounds!

The Blessing of the Lake on Transfiguration

Wow, what a blessed day this seemed to be!  On the last Friday of Teen Week on the Feast of the Transfiguration, Fr James Worthington blessed fruit to commemorate the feast, and also blessed the waters of Lake Oneida.  The view from the dock was serenely beautiful, with light clouds hovering over the water with the sun shining through, the teens made a procession

Here come the teens!

Teen week was great fun, and came to a close last Saturday, August 7th.  It included outings to a Syracuse Skychiefs minor league baseball game and miniature golf.  Great Vespers and Liturgy were celebrated for the feast of the Transfiguration. The week was led by Fr James Worthington. From these photos, it sure looks like fun was had by all!
